From the article:
“Before a contentious crowd of nearly 300 teachers, parents and others on Tuesday, Wall Township’s board of education president said the board would hold a do-over of a controversial contract approval for its superintendent.
The board said it will abide by a court ruling last week overturning its 2017 approval of raises and an extension of the superintendent’s contract, and would hold a new vote on May 7 -- this time with the required 30 days notice and public hearing.”
And,
“Kathleen Doran, an attorney and mother of three Wall students who had joined the Wall Township Education Association Union as a plaintiff in the contract’s appeal, reminded board members that others had cautioned against the 2017 vote, which was approved by a 5-1 vote, with three members abstaining due to conflicts of interest.
“You own them an apology,” Doran told the board.”
