School
taxes have decreased each year that I served on the board.
Taxes have gone down while spending on
education programs have increased. I
along with a few other members fought to ensure that some additional state aid
was used for tax relief. I felt that Lodi should have received even more tax relief. I am one of two board members that voted for more relief.
This is the complete opposite of what took place when
Nancy Cardone’s corrupt political machine dominated the board. Around 2007, Lodi saw its state aid increase by millions. Not only did Lodi never see
its taxes reduced, it saw 7% and 6% tax increases shortly after. Below is a tax chart from Advance Lodi (posted by former BOE member David Kim):
Why was Lodi ranked #1 for having the worst school tax
burden in all of New Jersey? Because Lodi was paying a corruption tax for the crooks
that were robbing this town.
