Our goal was to broadcast all meetings and
post those videos on the district website as part of the public record along
with the meeting minutes. Mike Nardino was one of only three board members to
vote against the video recording of BOE meetings.
Even though the motion above passed on June 28, 2017,
the corrupt political machine put all obstacles in place and eventually
prevented the video recording of our meetings.
The corrupt political machine wouldn’t implement video
recording practices of nearby communities.
The corrupt political machine wouldn’t allow high
school students to participate in video recordings of our meetings. That type of experience has been beneficial
to students in high performing districts.
Because the corrupt political machine fought all
efforts for transparency, Al Mastrofilipo took it upon himself to shine light
on public meetings with “Lodi Live”.
If you are a dishonest politician and engaging in bad
behavior, you certainly don’t want people watching your meetings.
If you are serving for the right reasons, you want as
much transparency as possible.
Defeating “Children First” will lead to a new era of
full transparency and accountability for Lodi.
