“Stitched together, the testimony contradicted Schrieks’ declaration to The Record in May 2005 that there would be no consulting work out of Coniglio’s district office — not even phone calls.

In late April, Coniglio was found guilty on federal mail fraud and extortion charges, and was sentenced last week to a 30-month prison term. Schrieks was never charged in the case, although prosecutors depicted him as a central role player.”
