Let’s take a look at Marc’s employment history after
he became a Lodi councilman/mayor:
Chief of Staff to Convicted State Senator Joseph Coniglio
New Jersey Meadowlands Commission (short-lived “marketing role”)
Employed by the Lodi Board of Education as a Substitute Teacher
Aide to Bergen County Freeholder Joan Voss
Deputy Chief of Staff to Bergen County Executive James Tedesco
Marc Schrieks has always gotten himself in
trouble. One scandal after another. Yet he always managed to keep himself on the
public payroll. He bounced from one
political position to another. Of course, no employment in the private sector.
How did Marc manage to secure high paying
political positions for himself after the Coniglio trial? Coniglio went to prison but Marc remained
Lodi Mayor. Marc Schrieks was still in a
position to give something from Lodi in order to get something for himself.
Marc Schrieks’ borough hall was pay-to-play on
steroids. Those funding the County Democrats
were funding Marc’s elections in Lodi. In
return, Marc was awarding NO BID contracts to all the biggest players and campaign contributors
to the County Democrats. He was awarding
multiple NO BID contracts for a single position. He was parading all the County politicians
into council meetings and presenting them with fake awards, just to create photo
ops before their elections.
With all of Marc's baggage, he only had one bargaining chip to secure more public employment for himself. That bargaing chip was the title "Lodi Mayor" and a reputation for selling influence.

Marc Schrieks uses public office for personal
financial gain. He has been doing it
for nearly 20 years.
Public office should never be for sale. There is no place for Marc's influence peddling and pay-to-play abuses on the Lodi Board of Education.
