The question above is from Lodi’s completed 2013 “Best
Practices”. The question is
straightforward. It is unambiguous. Lodi answered “Yes”. No comments are listed to the right.
State: Does your municipality exclude from healthcare coverage part-time elected and appointed officials (less that 35 hours per week)?
Lodi: Yes
The State of New Jersey puts out a list of best
practices that it wants all municipalities to implement. If a town does not implement enough best
practices, it can lose some State aid.
The State stressed the importance of answering
honestly. It required the following
certification of the Borough Manager and CFO.
Both Tony Luna and Charles Cuccia blatantly lied to
the State to conceal the fact that Marc Schrieks, a part-time Lodi councilman,
was receiving taxpayer funded health benefits.

Five years later, you can see even
more clearly how dishonest they were with their certified answers to the State. They still haven’t implemented the best
practices they certified in 2013.
BOE candidate Marc Schrieks is a dishonest
person that has always used public office for personal gain.
