Mike Nardino was one of four BOE trustees hand-picked
by Capizzi for a backroom committee assigned to demolish and replace the administration
building at any cost.
When Joe Licata resigned from the BOE in disgrace, Mike
Nardino became the spokesperson for the project, the project’s biggest
advocate.
Every engineer report clearly stated that the building
was STRUCTURALLY SOUND.
With the engineer report right in front of him, Nardino
stated publicly that the building was not structurally sound.
While meetings were taking place in the building, Nardino
stated publicly that the building was not safe for meetings.
He “did not want it on him when someone got hurt”. Yet he voted against moving meetings to the
borough hall or one of the schools to better accommodate the public.
What
would cause an individual to tell such lies?
What was in it for Mike Nardino?
Nardino voted every time to demolish and replace the
Lincoln building by using $8,000,000 Lodi tax dollars. He voted to approve the contract to demolish
and replace during a special meeting held two days after Christmas when schools
were closed and people were on vacation.
He voted to approve the contract during a lame duck session. Court decisions clearly state that
unnecessary actions and costly actions should never be taken during lame
duck sessions.
Mike Nardino voted over and over again to deny Lodi
voters the right to vote on the $8,000,000 project.
Mike Nardino stated that the $400,000 architect plans will
not go to waste and can be used in the future.
He clearly is not letting go.
Mike Nardino snapped at an engineer at a public
meeting because the engineer told the truth.
The engineer contradicted Nardino’s lies. “It’s low hanging fruit.” Click below:
Mike Nardino never cared about engineer reports. The
only report he cares about comes from Joe Capizzi during their frequent lunch
dates at the hot dog joints.
