From the article:
“The
Gilmore & Monahan law firm, which Gilmore owns with Thomas E.
Monahan, is estimated to make more than $2 million each year from
taxpayer-funded legal work in a number of Republican-controlled towns in Ocean
County, including Jackson, Lacey, Little Egg Harbor Township, Plumsted
and Seaside Heights.”
This is what a two party political system gives you in
New Jersey. Whether it’s the Democrats
in Bergen County or the Republicans in Ocean County, they operate in a similar
fashion. Both parties stink. Nothing good comes from machine politics and pay-to-play abuses.
