Please read pages 15 and 16 below of the last LEA
agreement (Article V: Association Rights: Privileges and Responsibilities):
D. The
taxpayers of Lodi should have a real problem with the union using school equipment
to produce its anti-taxpayer, anti-student propaganda. What records are being kept for this
use? What type of accounting system is in
place? Who is paying for what?
G.
The
Lodi taxpayers pay employees to work in our schools, not to attend union events. Shouldn’t
the union president use personal days or have the union reimburse the board if
she were to attend union events while school is in session?
The LEA serves its members, not the students and not the taxpayers. The overlap between school duties and union activities must come to an end.
