Below is a link to the answer given by Carafa, Miller and Nardino to the School Ethics Commission:
Why did they need an attorney for this?
Two things to point out:
Page 2: “Respondents deny the allegations
of Paragraph 1, except that they admit that Miller received a promotion in
2016, several months after his appointment to the Board, following a proposal
from the Chief of Police to create two new sergeant positions.”
The Chief of Police is Superintendent Frank Quatrone’s
brother. On Wednesday, Dominic Miller
voted to invoke doctrine of necessity so he can negotiate Frank Quatrone’s
contract. Dominic Miller’s conflict of
interest was not listed on the resolution.
How can Dominic Miller negotiate Mr. Quatrone’s contract? Why isn't Mr. Capizzi listing the conflict?
Page 4: “Complainant’s conduct,
including but not limited to using his position to advance his own special
interest and the interests of partisan political groups, violates public
policy, rules, laws, and regulations.”
What is my special interest?
Interests of partisan political groups?
I
ran as an independent and refused all campaign contributions. What partisan political group do I supposedly
belong to?
This accusation is so desperate and baseless. I used it on them first but provided
evidence.
