As Joe Capizzi continues circling Wilson School
(because he can no longer spend all of his time counting my lawn signs), maybe he
can answer this question:
Why would the
Lodi BOE pay Maser Consulting 8% of the total project cost when the State
Comptroller’s Office issued a report discouraging this practice over a year
ago? The costs for materials and labor have nothing
to do with what the engineer prepares.
If the project costs $71,795.00(the BOE usually goes
over on every project), how can you justify paying Maser 8% when many people
are confused about how much work was actually done on their part.
At some point, Capizzi will have to allow the public
to see Maser’s plans. I also hope that
Capizzi is keeping a log of the hours Maser put in. Residents of Lodi will decide for
themselves if they overpaid.
Side
Note: Maser is a large campaign contributor
of the Lodi politicians. Lodi officials attended a lavish party thrown by
Maser in Atlantic City within the last year.
