Lodi CFO Charles Cuccia stated at a public meeting
that Tony Luna’s daughter was hired as Lodi’s treasurer because she was “part
of his team”. But could it be that he
was hired by Lodi because he is part of the Luna team?
At the October Executive meeting, Lodi Borough Attorney Alan Spiniello stated a few times that Charles Cuccia/Treasury Services Inc. did not increase his rate for Lodi this year. Mr. Spiniello presented this as though it were a great achievement for the borough. Mr. Cuccia is listed as the CFO for Lodi and is being paid $97,500 a year. Public websites list him as the CFO for Wallington and Maywood, receiving $20,408 and $29,371 respectively for those part-time positions.
Mr. Cuccia has a FULL TIME government job in another town and lists six other public positions as sources of income. He is an executive member of the South Bergen Joint Insurance Fund with Tony Luna. Both get paid to attend their meetings.
With regard to the “Luna Financial
Team”, who is doing what and when are
they doing it? When do they find the
time? How many hats can one wear?
