At Wednesday’s board meeting, it was very clear that
Emil Carafa was celebrating nepotism and the people aligned with him were cheering for nepotism.
It isn’t a far-fetched claim that Lodi has a nepotism
stigma. It isn’t a crazy idea to suggest
a committee to help oversee promotions in order to prevent nepotism abuses.
If you are a standout employee in Lodi, why shouldn’t
you have the opportunity for a promotion? Just because you are not related to the entrenched politicians?
