An observation I made Wednesday while certain members
of the administration, board, and audience were arguing that Lodi doesn’t have
a nepotism problem:
Who had the Board Secretary/Administrator position
before Marc Capizzi?
His father.
Who had the Board Attorney position before Alisa
DiChiara?
Her father.
Who had the Roosevelt principal position before Frank
Quatrone?
His father.
When there is no competition and one is handed a job (passed
down from a parent), is that a public school district or is that a family
business?
