“Mr. Licata informed the Board that the Committee unanimously recommended that the Lincoln School Building be demolished and a new administrative/child study team facility be constructed.”

Capizzi/BOE gave “SSP Architectural Group” an incentive
to grow the price tag by awarding them a 5.9% fee for total construction costs. The more the project costs, the more they get paid. Their fee is not tied to the work they actually do. The State wrote a report against this practice. Capizzi and the BOE thumb their nose to everyone, even the State.
Please read page 9 of the October 28, 2015 agenda (Once again, Capizzi and the BOE refuse to provide an agenda on-line or even at their meetings. I had to OPRA this just so the public can see what is taking place.):
Spending more
tax dollars on lavish office space for a bloated bureaucracy(Ciofalo, etc) does not improve
education.
Has everyone noticed by now how Joe Capizzi is obsessed with spending on new projects, even when not necessary? Has everyone noticed by now how the Lodi taxpayers are being ripped off with architectural fees? People should really be questioning Joe Capizzi’s motives. Licata is Capizzi's puppet. He is not deciding these things.

If the building is not structurally sound, why did
they install a new roof, all new furniture, carpets, and a security system over the last
few years?
The BOE needs to disclose who was on the committee and who came up with the recommendations. There should be an objective outside professional to review the structure and issue a report. No Luna or Capizzi is objective. Neither is the structural engineer that didn't even attend the first committee meeting and would profit greatly from the project.

This building
is not serving any children. If it were not structurally sound,
they should rent out some office space somewhere. Or they can be like Hasbrouck Heights and run
it out of a small house.
