2014 Tax Comparison Based on Lodi's Average Assessment of $317,732

And if your house is assessed at $450,000, which Lodi has a lot of:

Despite having a lower average assessment than Lodi in 2014, Maywood’s average sale price was $47,756 higher than Lodi’s.

Despite having a lower average assessment than Lodi in 2014, Saddle Brook’s average sale price was $22,110 higher than Lodi’s.

And if it weren’t for the sale of so many “multi-family” homes in Lodi last year, Lodi’s numbers would be a lot more dismal.

There are 70 towns in Bergen County.  Lodi had the third highest effective tax rate in 2014, only behind Bogota and Bergenfield.
