There is no evidence that anything with that name actually
exists in New Jersey.
So who is ultimately responsible for the money it
collects? Jamie Ciofalo or the Lodi Boys
and Girls Club?
Jamie Ciofalo lists himself as the “Founder/Lead
Presenter” of the “Educators Training Institute” (January 2014). But when he certified his financial
disclosure statement on February 18, 2014, the "institute" was not listed. On Ciofalo’s numerous websites, “Educators
Training Institute” is listed completely separate from “Power Educational
Consultants, LLC”.
Joe Licata is the contact person for the workshops and
checks are to be written to the Lodi Boys and Girl Club (when cash in the exact amount is not required at the door).

But edtraining.org only lists the Boys and Girls Club
as a recipient of some of its proceeds. It doesn’t list the club as the umbrella that the
institute is operating under.
Proceeds from
the workshops also go to “Lodi Cares, Inc.”, which was formed by
Ciofalo and Licata six months after the “Educators Training Institute” was
supposedly created.
Why all the smoke and mirrors?
When someone pays $129 to attend a workshop at the
Lodi Boys and Girls Club presented by Jamie Ciofalo during the school day,
where does that $129 go?
What goes to
the club and what goes to Licata and Ciofalo at “Lodi Cares”? Who is ultimately responsible for its
breakdown?
Ciofalo is seeking paid professional development
providers. When those providers get
paid, who is signing their check?
