Taxpayer Funded Political Propoganda and the Denial of Public Access

Lodi tax dollars are used to run the Lodi channel.  People in the community make donations to run it.

People have pointed out for weeks now that a 2011 campaign photo of Schrieks, Licata, Masopust, Cima, and Fiduccia is occupying the station.

This is not what tax dollars and donations are intended for.

The photo isn't from a public event or anything recent.  It is a campaign photo that was used in campaign fliers four years ago.  It is being used as political propaganda today.

The station should be used for a positive purpose like every other community uses it for.

How about using it show public meetings?

Shouldn't the community see their elected representatives in action?  Shouldn't they see their government at work?

In fact, Marc Schrieks' new boss had his freeholder meetings run on a public access station.

The Lodi politicians tape their swearing-in and run it all year around.  Therefore, they have no argument against taping real meetings throughout the year.

Anyone that attends council meetings knows the many reasons why that won't happen.  The public has no idea how badly their elected officials behave at these meetings.
