The recent promotion of Patrick Licata to “Supervisor”
is NEPOTISM at its worst. From day one,
Licata received nothing but special treatment because his mother sat on the
council and his brother sat on the Board of Education.
When one is handed a political job right out of high
school, they often lack real life experience, a necessary skill set, and a strong
work ethic. There is a sense of
entitlement. But that never mattered.
This administration was set to make Licata a supervisor
three years ago. The only reason they
held off was because I was blasting them at council meetings and they were
fearful of lawsuits after their DPW layoffs.
Patrick
Licata didn’t replace a supervisor. A new
title was added for him.
In July, nj.com ranked Lodi #7 for “New Jersey towns
where property taxes hurt the most.”
This administration’s response to Lodi's tax problem: create a new supervisor title for a
councilwoman’s son.
