From
tomorrow’s article:
“Lodi has adopted its municipal budget of $17.3 million.”
The
Truth: The 2015 budget is $25,029,006.44.
In 2014, Lodi budgeted $24,779,898.85 and ended up with a total appropriations of $26,240,492.58 (shown above). You can bet on seeing the same thing by the end of this year.

The Truth: The State told all governing bodies years ago
not to exceed 2% raises.
“All borough employees were

The Truth: Lodi switched over to the State Health
Benefits Program in May 2010, not this year.
“While reducing the force in
the DPW, Lodi has used outside contractors for landscaping, tree cutting and
snow plowing.
"The outside contractors
absolutely save money. We used to use four people for six months a year cutting
grass," he said.”
The Truth: Tony Luna violated Civil Service rules. Tony Luna hired new employees in the DPW
after his supposed reduction in force.
None of Tony Luna’s numbers add up in this article. The 2015 budget for the DPW and Building and Grounds does not show the savings. Tony Luna’s unjust actions will eventually cost
the Lodi taxpayers.
Shared service agreements with
the board of education and the police department have helped reduce costs since
the various departments share costs.
The Truth: The Borough paying for school expenses is not a shared service agreement.
