Two takeaways from the below article:
1) Bruce
Masopust couldn’t be more proud of his failed policies that gave Lodi the third
highest effective tax rate in all of Bergen County (out of 70 towns). Anyone that attends any council meetings knows that the “zero municipal
increase” rhetoric is a fake premise. As
you can see from last year: they introduce a budget, they brag there is zero municipal
increase, they go to the state and spend millions more in “emergency spending”, and
they borrow millions more to pay for the most basic expenses. You are left with the
third highest effective tax rate in Bergen County and you are buried in debt. All gimmicks and empty rhetoric.
2) In two
newspaper articles that went out today, Patty Licata says her big achievement
is the reduction in force in the DPW. I find it unconscionable that
she continues to brag about laying off two employees that each had years of
seniority over her son. She
continues to add insult to injury. Her
actions are unjust, mean-spirited, and shameful.
