The following question was asked tonight:
Can you explain
the selection process you used when you appointed Dan Cody to Housing
Authority?
Mr. Masopust explained that Dan Cody was the “governor’s pick” in the past. The governor’s pick will supposedly go before Republican County Committee. In order to protect and preserve Dan Cody on the LHA, the council appointed him to take Alan Riley’s spot instead of finishing out his own term. It appeared that the council didn’t believe that Cody would be reappointed as the “governor’s pick”.
Have any of you
ever attended a Housing Authority meeting to observe the way Mr. Cody
behaves? Many residents have complained
about how disrespectful and unprofessional he is at meetings.
No one on the council has attended a Lodi Housing Authority meeting to observe their appointee. Mr. Masopust didn’t seem to believe that residents made statements about Mr. Cody’s behavior.
After I spoke, a resident that was a victim of Mr. Cody’s abusive language and behavior had her say. She described Mr. Cody as “obnoxious, unprofessional, and rude” at public meetings.
The public is urged to listen to audio tapes of LHA meetings to hear Mr. Cody’s language for themselves.
