The ethics case against Licata is more than enough reason to stop the $7.5 million administration building.

“Therefore, I am appointing a special committee to review the structural assessment report, speak to the engineering firm (if necessary), and ultimately come to a recommendation for the entire Board.

-Joseph Licata, August 24, 2015, in a private email to other Board members

The School Ethics Commission found probable cause for ethics violations against Joe Licata.

Joe Licata will have to appear before an administrative law judge.

The Board should not spend one more penny on the project because the person most responsible for it (on paper) may be found guilty of ethics violations.

$7.5 million is a real of lot tax dollars.  The process was shady and flawed.  It was too important of a decision to place in the hands of the most unethical.

Lodi needs to elect new Board members on November 8th.  A real committee should be formally appointed.  That committee should include at least one member that wouldn’t get a thrill out of driving around in Capizzi’s big black Lexus.
