A few things to point out:
1) Frank Quatrone is receiving a
merit bonus this year to “increase the overall effectiveness and efficiency of
high school guidance department”. Frank Quatrone continues to allow an administrator who probably
isn’t even tenured yet (less than 3 years in district) to run his personal
businesses during school days.
2) Ciofalo’s contract only
allows for two personal days a year. It
would be inappropriate if the Lodi BOE is allowing him to use his vacation days
while school is in session to run his own private businesses.
3) The Lodi Board
of Education “President” Joe
Licata is the one scheduling Jaime Ciofalo’s presentations during school
days. Licata is a business partner of Ciofalo’s.
Joe Licata
is employed by the Lodi Boys and Girls Club. Both Licata and Ciofalo
can pay themselves through “Lodi Cares”, the business they created
together.
4) Two years
ago, Lodi was paying Ciofalo
at least
$ 118, 694. I say at least because I have found many employees that received additional compensation on top of what is reported on these public information sites.

Is Lodi getting its money’s worth?
(If
anyone has a reasonable explanation for what is described above, I would gladly
post their response on my website.)
