A lot of progress was made tonight regarding Joe
Licata’s “consulting fees”. Patty Licata
finally blurted out that she will have someone from the Lodi Drug Alliance
attend the next council meeting to explain what Joe Licata actually does.
This came about after Patty Licata was asked again to
explain what her son does for those “consulting fees”.
She said again that she doesn’t know.
I stated that there is a culture in politics where
certain people find a way of getting paid “consulting fees” and she should
explain what they are for.
She pulled a “Next.”
Councilman Masopust was nice enough to address the
issue. He said that he asked Mike
Nardino what the “consulting fees” are for and was told that someone has been
paid since 1988.
I told Mrs. Licata that times change, things change,
and someone should be able to explain what he is doing for those “consulting fees”.
Mr. Dimaria said the Lodi Drug Alliance has members
and they decide things.
I stated that one of those members is Joe Licata’s
business associate Jaime Ciofalo.
Finally, Mrs. Licata said she will have someone from
the Lodi Drug Alliance at the next council meeting to explain.
I think that person should be Jaime Ciofalo.
I just hope the presentation is free to the public
and Joe Licata is not collecting $50 cash only (exact amount) at the door.
