The Lodi council had their borough employee/disgraced former mayor
Gary Paparozzi stand up during the hearing of the citizens and launch an all-out
personal attack against me for about a half an hour. Amongst his statements were:
1) Everything
I say is “garbage”.
2) I
shouldn’t be allowed to speak for more than five minutes.
3) They
should go to the authorities on me.
4) I don’t
care about the town or saving money.
5) He made
many negative references to this blog.
Patty Licata thoroughly enjoyed his tirade. She nodded in agreement and
never smiled so much in her entire life.
Marc Schrieks thanked Paparozzi for his tirade.
I responded to the tirade and blasted Paparozzi for
the following:
1) He made more money for himself while in
office than any other mayor in the history of Lodi.
2) What type of “Planner” would push for and
promote the Harrison Ave project where there are mudslides and four variances
required?
3) He doesn’t belong in the pension
system. He is gaming the system and
intends on padding a pension he isn’t entitled to.
4) No criticism of Paparozzi’s “planning” can
be as harsh as that from Marc Schrieks when they served together and then ran
against each other. Paparozzi won’t
bring that up because Schrieks created a job for him.
5) The public cannot believe how much Paparozzi is
being paid from escrow (thousands of dollars for one meeting). The council didn’t need to create another
position for him.
In other news,
Patty Licata
refused to explain what her son’s bill was for tonight. She screamed angrily, “Call the Boys
Club! They pay his bill! End of question!”
I pointed out that the Lodi taxpayers are paying his
bill approved tonight. Marc Schrieks
claimed that they aren’t.
I asked Mr. Spiniello if the Lodi taxpayers are
paying for the bill approved by the Lodi mayor and council. Schrieks stopped Spiniello from answering. When asked again, Spiniello refused to
answer.
Marc Schrieks
refused to write Anthony Fontana of the NJ DEP notifying him of the negative impact Pinto’s new permit would have on the community. He wasn’t familiar with the public notice on
the matter. He said a letter from the mayor couldn’t bring about a public
hearing. So I read him the following
public notice:
“The public comment period on the draft permit
action begins on the date of the publication of this notice and will close
within thirty (30) days of this publication. Any interested person may submit
written comments during this period to the Department concerning the draft
permit action to: Anthony Fontana, Chief Bureau of Transfer Stations &
Recycling Facilities New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Division
of Solid and Hazardous Waste P.O. Box 420, Mail Code 401-02C Trenton, New
Jersey 08625-0420 Upon written request of any interested party, which raises
the issues of fact relevant to the proposed agency action within thirty (30)
days of this publication, a public hearing will be scheduled regarding the
proposed agency action.”
Marc Schrieks demanded on changing the subject. I demanded the minutes for tonight’s
meeting show that the Mayor of Lodi refused to send anything in writing to the
NJ DEP on this very serious matter.
Schrieks and
Spiniello refused to answer whether or not Gary Paparozzi (“Annual Technical
Inspector”) is full-time or part-time.
Both refused to ask the state whether or not he belongs in the pension system
for that position.
When told that I asked the same questions last month
and that they had a month to look into the manner, Spiniello accused me of
hallucinating. Spiniello was the most rude and obnoxious ever.
