On April 29th, Matthew Giacobbe billed Lodi $660
for participating in a virtual board meeting.
On April 29th, Mark Wenczel billed Lodi $693 for
participating in that same meeting.
On May 20th, Matthew Giacobbe billed Lodi $247 for participating
in a virtual board meeting.
On May 20th, Joseph Garcia (arrogant politician that was
voted off the Paramus council) billed Lodi $412.50 for participating in that same meeting.
It’s
not the Lodi taxpayers’ responsibility to pay 8 really bad attorneys to do the
job of one person.
Lodi is paying three times more than what it would be paying for one
competent board attorney.
Matthew Giacobbe can't fulfill his responsibility to Lodi because he is at Wayne coucil meetings and everywhere else while Lodi Board of Education meetings are taking place. Even though the Lodi BOE never negotiated or voted on a contract for Giacobbe, he was the one that was supposed to be Lodi's Board Attorney according to his firm's two presentations and his secret contract with Bob Brown (click on link below):

For just two virtual board meetings, the Giacobbe firm billed at least $2,012.50 for "participation". They submitted multiple other bills to "prepare" for the meetings.
The bills are now over redacted so the public can’t
see the tens of thousands of dollars billed by Mark Wenczel for “memos” which are for the most basic general information readily available on-line. Where a normal board attorney can answer a
basic general question that comes up at a meeting, Mark Wenzcel bills thousands
to write the general information on a “memo”. Then he has to revise the "memo" multiple times because he is unsure about everything. Lodi is paying multiple attorneys to attend the same meeting where nobody can answer a basic general question.
