Did PRIDE realize it was writing about Vinny Martin?

“Citizens Against Corruption” is a NEW citizens group that formed only a few months ago.  It is made up of a DIVERSE group of everyday Lodi residents that have had enough Lodi corruption.  CAC candidates never served on the Lodi council nor do they have records to attack.

Today, PRIDE used a recycled nasty flyer from the 1990s.  It in no way could be applied to CAC candidates for all obvious reasons.

Those that were a target of the “FBI and State Police Investigations” throughout the nineties were all hired by Tony Luna and Emil Carafa.  Vinny Martin was hired in 1990 by Luna and Carafa and he was being investigated.

The County prosecutor took over the Borough Police Department because it had reason to believe certain officers were "aiding the Genovese crime family".

Whoever signed off on the flyer should have realized that PRIDE was writing about something that involved Vinny Martin and the current boro manager.   I will leave out the articles about the latter.

From a newspaper article titled “3 POLICE OFFICERS MUST TAKE DRUG TESTS” By Duane Stoltzfus, Record Staff Writer July 11, 1991:

The department ordered Patrolmen Vincent Martin to take a urine test or face dismissal. A positive reading would be grounds for dismissal, acting Police Chief John Pizzuro said.

"Certain information came to light which gave us reasonable suspicion to believe they may have been using drugs," Pizzuro said. "The information came from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the FBI."

Martin on Tuesday took a test, the results of which were not yet known, Pizzuro said. Martin, working at the Police Department's front desk on Wednesday, declined to comment.

I didn’t bring this up today.  PRIDE did.  They really should think twice about slandering people that have no records to attack.

As Negative Nancy (aka Nepotism Nancy Cardone) would say: put down the magnifying glass and look in the mirror.
