FRIEDRICHS: How Teachers Unions Dupe the Public

Link to opinion piece by Rebecca Friedrichs in the Orange County Register:

From the opinion piece:

Julie was a strike substitute at her son’s school. She recalls in my book: “When I’d drive in, the teachers would yell at me and try to intimidate me. The unions instructed teachers to remove teaching materials during the strike. They took markers, books, and unplugged equipment. Whatever they had that was not anchored to the ground, they either took out of their rooms or locked in cabinets so the substitutes couldn’t use them to keep on track with the curriculum…for a teachers’ union to have such a negative impact on students is extremely telling of their priorities.”
