1) In each town, the administrator or the Office of
Emergency Management applied for a grant through FEMA in the aftermath of Superstore
Sandy.
2) FEMA
issues the funding.
3) There are requirements and restrictions on
the types of generators, types of energy, and locations where they are to be
used.
Here
is one article about Wanaque in Sunday's Record:
Here is an article about Little Falls from last month:
Absent
from all the other town’s articles are a photo of a self-serving
assemblyman,
taking credit for a grant he had NOTHING to do with.
Kim Lueddeke, of the Bergen Record, was right to do
her own research on this matter and not report on lies told by Marc
Schrieks. Tim Eustace’s photo was no
part of her story.
Marc Schrieks lied to the public at the October 15, 2013
meeting. He stated that Eustace was
bringng this money to Lodi and that he wanted to throw a “party” for him.
This situation was discussed at length during at the
October meeting. Eustace even spent time
responding to it during the hearing of the citizens.
This was all left off of the October minutes. Why?
Because Marc Schrieks told one lie after another in his pursuit to
impress Tim Eustace. In return, Marc
expects Eustace to use his assembly seat to land Marc a better political job.
Dishonest politicians can run dishonest
campaigns. That’s a given. But public meetings belong to the
public. If Marc wants to stage and then act out a work of fiction, he should
join the theater.
