"Open Response to the Threatening Letter I Just Received from Lodi Deputy Mayor Vincent Martin and His Attorney Thomas Brogan"…
Response:
1. I just blacked out Vinny Martin’s street address on the post showing how his big house with a lot of improvements (that he purchased for $500,000 in 2006) is only assessed at $321,300. My question for Thomas Brogan: what do you have to say about Vinny Martin asking people to sign his petition to run for Lodi council with his street address listed? Please explain.
2. Please send me specific blog posts dating back to 2016 that you deem “false statements” or “misrepresentations”. If you can explain with factual basis why they are false, I will gladly remove them.
3. Vinny Martin is listed as an owner of a business that was busted twice within a year for cocaine and prostitution. Public notices and his own statements on northjersey.com state that he is an owner. If he is not an owner and the public notices and his own statements are untrue, please notify me in writing with factual basis and I will gladly remove all posts pertaining to that subject.
4. You state: “As
you are fully aware, Mr. Martin is an upstanding citizen of the Borough of Lodi…’
I completely disagree. And that statement shows just a little too much pride.
5. Vinny Martin
has corrupted the Lodi police department with his involvement in making Donald
Scorzetti Chief (voting with conflicts), funding Donald Scorzetti’s political
campaigns, allowing Donald Scorzetti to take Borough Vehicles to his shore
house while telling insurance providers and the Department of Community Affairs
that Borough vehicles are prohibited for personal use, etc. Vinny Martin has his daughter working under
Donald Scorzetti and working with all of Donald Scorzetti’s daughters in Police
Records while Vinny Martin is voting on 4% raises for Donald Scorzetti.
Furthermore, what Vinny Martin and his administration did to Captain Grillo is disgusting. That is corruption of the police department.
6. Dirty Politician- Vinny Martin is nasty and he is a bully. He has been like that his whole life. Before I ever posted anything about him, he sent me nasty emails, insulted me at Board of Education meeting with the most petty, stupid things, and made many libelous statements against me. Vinny Martin is not a victim.
7. The ethics
complaint against me by Debra Kwapniewski- The NJEA spent over $100,000 filing
frivolous complaints against me. I successfully
defended myself “pro se” for three years.
I was the only board member not to use a taxpayer funded attorney to defend
myself. I saved the Lodi taxpayers at least
$15,000 by refusing to use a taxpayer funded attorney in which I was entitled. The day of the administrative hearing with Elissa
Mizzone Testa in Newark, there was snow on the ground, I was busy at work and decided
at the last minute that I had better things to do than drive to Newark to talk
about a blog post: “If you can read, thank a teacher. If you can’t, thank a teachers union.” I already successfully defended myself against
the same complaint over and over again. I
told Elissa Mizzone Testa to refer to the evidence I already submitted. She said that she would not read anything
that I submitted and then she had the NJEA Attorney, Gail Oxfeld, write her decision
for her.
Do I regret not going to the hearing in Newark? Absolutely not. The decision against me is being used at Board
training sessions throughout New Jersey because it is so absurd and laughable. Board members as far as Ocean County have reached
out to me after their attorneys discussed my decision with them to tell me that
everyone was laughing at my posts and that they enjoyed reading my blog.
Elissa Mizzone Testa humiliated herself with her decision. It was blatantly dishonest. District payroll and other public records
show that she is dishonest. Three years later, she has to be more embarrassed by
the decision than me. You and Vinny
Martin can talk about this decision all you like. It doesn’t bother me. Compare and contrast this decision with the ethics decisions against the Lodi politicians associated with Vinny Martin (Dominic Miller, Tony Luna, George Reggo, etc.) Compare blog posts about the NJEA with the misappropriation of public funds. Compare blog posts about the NJEA with the illegal awarding of contracts to family members. Compare blog posts about the NJEA with using your public position to lower your own property taxes.

Not One Article about "AJ's" Mentions Any Change in Ownership Between all the Prostitution/Cocaine Busts in Recent Years. Lodi Deputy Mayor/Planning Board Member, Vinny Martin, Should Be Forced to Disclose Any Current Involvement with the Prostitution/Cocaine Business.
While Vinny Martin was filing to run for Re-election in May 2023, multiple people told me that Vinny Martin was telling them that he was trying to get his name off of the prostitution/cocaine business. Not one recent news article mentions any change in ownership from the 2021 bust, 2022 bust, and 2024 bust. I cannot locate any public notices showing the liquor license being transferred from Vinny Martin to a different party.
What is the truth? Vinny Martin is public official and must answer to the public. Why hasn't he had to answer to one reporter beginning with the 2021 bust?
Vinny Martin is raising Lodi taxes. Vinny Martin is approving overdevelopment as a Planning Board member. Vinny Martin is executing and signing Lodi contracts when Scott Luna has conflicts of interest. Vinny Martin is voting on ordinances. Vinny Martin is voting on Donald Scorzetti's contracts.
Lodi residents have the right to know if the person governing them is still involved with prostitution/cocaine sales.

Vinny Martin was using borough employees to do opposition research on CAC candidates and their supporter. (Post Date: May 22, 2019)
An OPRA response I received today showed the
following:
Councilman Vinny Martin was using the tax office to do
opposition research on a CAC candidate.
What makes things even worse, he was also using the tax office to do opposition research
on an individual that wasn’t even running.
Vinny Martin targeted a Lodi resident just for supporting CAC.
Vinny Martin’s documents are dated March 15, 2019 and
timed at 10:05 AM and 10:11 AM. Yet, Vinny
Martin’s OPRA receipt is timed March 15, 2019 at 10:26 AM. Vinny Martin’s documents were printed for him
before the borough received his request.
Vinny Martin couldn’t explain how this happened when
he was questioned at tonight’s council meeting.
Vinny Martin picked up his documents which means they
were printed for him. Vinny Martin’s
receipt shows that he didn’t pay anything even though charges would apply to
anyone else.
When I file OPRA requests, I typically receive
documents in 7 business days. Vinny
Martin received his documents before the borough received his request.
Vinny Martin received special treatment and demonstrated a clear abuse of power.
This
further shows that the Borough Hall and some of its employees are using public
office and public employment to target Lodi residents. I want to emphasize that they aren’t only
using public resources to go after opposing candidates. They are using public resources to go after
ordinary residents that don’t support them and their corruption at Election
time.

The councilman clearly has a serious conflict being his new business partner will be going before the Lodi council for approval. Vinny Martin is 1/5 of the Lodi council. the next Police Chief and promoting others. What if an officer doesn’t roll out

This is bad all the way
around. There is something wrong with the
councilman’s judgement for him to be so nonchalant with his quotes to the paper.
Vinny Martin isn’t new to this
game.
I think it’s time for Vinny
Martin to disclose where all of his campaign cash came from. He has done a good job of concealing his
contributors’ names and the names that contributed to “Children First”
campaigns.

Did Vinny Martin’s Employees Break In, Lock Him Up, and Run the Prostitution/Drug Business on Their Own?
I am asking the same questions that many asked one year ago:
How can so many employees of a business be charged and not the owner?
How can so many employees have their mugshots all over the news and not the owner?
How can so many news stories be written about a business without listing the business owner’s name?
Why hasn’t northjersey.com done one story on the raids of Vinny Martin’s business when it has been covered from the Star Ledger to the New York Post?
Was Vinny Martin paying these employees on the books? Where is the IRS?
Why was New Jersey’s Office of the Attorney General and the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) so involved in AJ’s prostitution/drug bust in 2017 and not in 2021 and 2022? Why does it appear that the Secaucus police department is not being assisted by the State?
Why hasn’t one member of the Lodi council called for Vinny Martin’s resignation from the council and Planning Board? Emil Carafa and Joe Leto are publicly cheering him on.
Why hasn’t Lodi’s Diversity Equity Inclusion Committee spoken out about the inequity of a two-tiered justice system where Vinny Martin gets special treatment because of his connections and privilege?
Why is Vinny Martin allowed to corrupt the Lodi Police Department as Lodi Deputy Mayor and through his hand-picked puppet Police Chief Donald Scorzetti?

Martin couldn’t be more proud of joining a business shut down by the state with pending charges.
From the
Office of the New Jersey Attorney General dated December 7, 2017: “After
further investigation, the Division issued a Notice of Charges for criminal
solicitation for prostitution and lewd activity on the licensed premises in May
2017. Those charges remain pending.”
April 2019: Is
Election time Vinny Martin still proud of his high profile
business transaction? Not so much. Vinny Martin hasn’t listed anywhere that he
is an owner of the business. Not on his
mailer. Not on his website. Not on any
bio.
Usually people running for office tout business
ownership in order to show that they have an ability to run something outside of the
public sector. Not the councilman. Vinny Martin is purposely hiding
from the public whatever arrangement he has with the business.
Voters should always be wary of politicians that have
to change themselves during election time.
Voters should always be wary of politicians that use their titles in
public office for some form of financial gain.
Voters should always be wary of politicians that profit from influence
peddling.
