Shady Bunch: Councilman Vin Martin must have been waiting in the wings to assist shuttered strip joints (Post Date: April 22, 2019)…

On December 7, 2017, the Office of the Attorney General ordered that all live entertainment cease at the two strip joints by December 17, 2017.  The OAG also ordered that the liquor licenses be sold or transferred to a bona fide third party by January 3, 2018.

Nj.com reported that the liquor license for Satin Dolls was sold in December 2017 to Joseph Pallonetti of Parkland, Florida.

On December 29, 2017, northjersey.com reported that Lodi Councilman Vincent Martin partnered with Pallonetti for ownership of the Secaucus strip joint:

Think about this timeline.  The OAG order is dated December 7, 2017.  By December 29, 2017, newspapers were already reporting that a Lodi councilman would be part of the new ownership.

Was Vinny Martin just waiting in the wings to assist the shuttered strip joints?  Does Vinny Martin have a plausible explanation for even knowing his business partner from Parkland, Florida?

The order stated that the OAG received information from the Lodi Police Department.  As a Lodi councilman, Vinny Martin has influence over the Lodi police department.  Months after partnering with the owner of Satin Dolls, Vinny Martin voted to appoint his close personal friend Donald Scorzetti as Lodi’s new police chief.

In mid-December 2017, news outlets questioned the futures of the two strip joints.  On March 26, 2018, northjersey.com reported that Satin Dolls was back in business.

Vincent Caruso who happens to be one of Vinny Martin’s best friends was quoted in the article:

“Borough Manager Vincent Caruso, meanwhile, said he had been unaware of the club's reopening until last week.

"Everything was done by the Alcoholic Beverage Control at the state level," Caruso said. "We had nothing to do with the investigation or the transfer of the [liquor] license."”

Do the wheels of the ABC spin a little faster for Lodi Councilmembers/former law enforcement?
