Last month, the mayor and council
paid the deputy mayor’s son another $700 in consulting fees. For years, they said he was being paid to “facilitate
meetings” and complete “quarterly reports” for the Lodi Drug Alliance. They have no minutes for any of the meetings(required by law). They have no evidence that the supposed
meetings ever took place. They
never produced one quarterly report even after it was requested through the Open
Public Records Act.
After the $700 payout, I requested
the following through OPRA (again): “All meeting minutes and
quarterly reports for the Lodi Drug Alliance from January 1, 2015 on.”
Below is the only quarterly report that
the Borough ever produced. The Borough claims
that Joe Licata was paid $700 to complete the following ONE page. The "expense report" doesn't list one expense. And it shows no money budgeted for "Alliance Coordination".
Below is everything else that the
Borough included in response to the OPRA request. It shows the public absolutely nothing as to why Patti Licata’s son is
being paid thousands of dollars each year in money that should be going to
youth programs to combat alcohol and drug abuse.
