The Politics of Pettiness…Poor Marc Didn’t Get a Phone Call.

“Cho gathers fellow Democrats to attack Rep. Garrett…”

“That was news to Lodi Mayor Marc Schrieks. He said he heard from U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez and Rep. Bill Pascrell after Sandy and Hurricane Irene, but not Garrett—even though Lodi is in Garrett's district, not Pascrell's.

"Scott Garrett was nowhere to be found," Schrieks said.”

How devastating that Marc didn't get a phone call.  I could only imagine the lasting effect on his ego.

Elections should be about big issues.  Marc resorts to pettiness.  How many partisan campaign events or staged press conferences can one attend during the day?

This is all about Marc trying to land another political job for himself.

Congressman Scott Garrett  deserves reelection for the following reasons:

1)      Unlike Marc Schrieks, Scott Garrett has never found himself in any scandal surrounding his public office.  That in itself is an achievement today (at least for Lodi standards).  That also stands out amongst our current Congress.

2)      Unlike Marc Schrieks, Scott Garrett is not a career politician.  Citizen legislatures shouldn’t spend their entire lives in political positions.  Scott Garrett has proved that he is capable of earning a living without politics.  That in itself stands out amongst our current Congress.

3)      Unlike Marc Schrieks, Scott Garrett does not appear to be a self-promoter.  He does NOT spend his days staging fake photo ops and news conferences.

4)      Unlike Marc Schrieks, Scott Garrett is not a whiny partisan.  He votes against both parties regularly and sounds very independent.

5)      Scott Garrett has promoted transparency in federal spending and has fought government waste.

Roy Cho does not have a serious campaign.

1)      Almost his entire campaign this past year was centered on trying to get Bill Maher to help him “flip a district”.

2)      The rest of his campaign was made up of “selfies”.

3)      He isn’t even from the 5th district.  He only rented an apartment in Hackensack when he decided to run in the district.

4)      The constant photo ops and press conferences lack substance and have resorted to Marc Schrieks' politics of pettiness.

Some people don’t like Congressman Garrett because he is conservative.  But he is the only serious candidate is this race.
