Both Mark DelMonaco and Donald Scorzetti (supposed former and current law enforcement) owe their promotions, protections etc. to Lodi Deputy Mayor Vinny Martin. They owe the jobs for all their relatives to Lodi Deputy Mayor Vinny Martin. And that should tell you everything you need to know about both of them and why neither should hold any position in Lodi Borough Hall.
They lived it up on your hard earned tax dollars as they raised your municipal taxes 16%.
Who thought it was a good idea for them to post these photos on social media?

Marc Schrieks and Sheryl Luna (and according to Pride also Frank DiMaria) are responsible for Lodi's screwed up budget where they were off by millions. The Lodi Mayor and Council give big raises for failure. And for not showing up.
Marc Schrieks has become quite the shakedown artist.
I am sure none of his solicitations took place during Borough hours where he would conveniently have access to all the contact information from those cashing in on Lodi.
Why couldn't Mark DelMonaco or Woobsie solicit the cash? They wouldn't carry as much influence as the Borough Manager that deals with the contractors on a daily basis?
I am sure there is a complete split between Schrieks' professional life and his shakedown activities.

They created an illegal pay scheme for Gary Paparozzi.

They paid Alan Spiniello hundreds of thousands of dollars without any invoices.

They spent hundreds of thousands of Lodi tax dollars unfairly targeting Captain Grillo.

They gave the Mayor's sister a big pay raise. The CFO was rewarded for this financial mess.

Lodi taxpayers are paying a very high corruption tax.
Scott Luna, Vinny Martin, Emil Carafa, Bruce Masopust, and Mark Delmonaco need to stop lying and start taking responsibility for their failures.

The County taxes could double for Lodi Taxpayers because most of the County has already been reassessed multiple times in the last twenty years. The County has a set rate and says Lodi is very undervalued (not paying it's proper share).
And County taxes could be the least of the Lodi taxpayers' worries.
The Lodi Mayor and Council are buying time to help Mark DelMonaco but also help the three incumbent County Commissioners who have been giving double digit percentage tax increases without the Revaluation.
The County employs Scott Luna and had employed Vinny Martin even as his business was busted multiple times for cocaine and prostitution. The phony Lodi Mayor and Council Members placed a letter in your tax bill showing how bad Mary Amoroso, Thomas Sullivan, and Germaine Ortiz have been with double digit percentage County tax increases yet they campaign for them because they care more about their own self-enrichment than Lodi's interests.
The County ordered Lodi's Revaluation because they said Lodi was paying less than the other Bergen County towns due to its outdated assessments. But then it allowed Lodi to delay for years. Past posts on the subject:

Don't take my word for it. Ask Scott Luna or Marc Schrieks now so they are not given an opportunity to lie after the fact. Ask them about the Revaluation release date and how the new assessments will impact the Lodi taxpayers.
The Mayor and Council, Marc Schrieks, Gary Paparozzi, and others have been nothing but secretive and dishonest about their Revaluation process. Gary Paparozzi somehow managed to make a real lot of money during from the Revaluation (besides being paid as a fake full-time Borough employee and "Planner" with a noncompetitive professional service contract).

Zillow currently estimates the value at $674,000:
When Lodi’s Revaluation numbers come out, Vinny Martin’s
taxes should increase at a higher amount than other Lodi homeowners. If not, the process was corrupted like last
time when family and friends of Lodi politicians had significant tax reductions
without tax appeals being filed.
Instead of Vinny Martin explaining his extremely low
assessment, he had an attorney send me a letter a few years ago demanding the information
come down.
Vinny Martin should not be voting for 15.64% municipal taxes and lying about it when he has been saving thousands of dollars each year at your expense.

A big part of the problem is the entire Mayor and Council consists of 4 retired Lodi employees and one current County employee- where their jobs and promotions were based on dirty Lodi politics and not merit. They are out of touch and lacking real life experience with respect to budgeting and management. They want to manage other people's tax dollars because they wouldn't be able to manage their own. They can run political campaigns and nothing else. Their actions and votes on the Lodi council would have bankrupted any private business. They increased taxes 15.64% as they borrowed ridiculous amounts of money for basic Borough expenses.
Vinny Martin announced that he would be a business owner in 2017. It turned out that it was a cocaine and prostitution business. It didn't turn out well. That is the only business experience brought to the council chambers. And that is why your municipal taxes just increased 15.64%.

A recent letter from "Pride"(for Mark Delmonaco) shows that all five council members are incapable of understanding their own budgets and incapable of telling the truth.
"Pride" created a financial mess and they delayed their Revaluation Order for years. They are just buying time.
Post Date: September 2025
The State's Division of Alcohol Beverage Control filed to revoke Vinny Martin's license and bar him from holding a license for two years.
Vinny Martin and his partner settled before the hearing.
How can the State list pages of crimes committed without charging the owner? How can the State not allow Vinny Martin to continue running his business but still allow him to run Lodi?
Why hasn't one news reporter confronted Matthew Platkin about this blatant abuse and political favoritism?
Lisa Swain is so obsessed with abortion, she is
incapable of speaking about anything else or accomplishing anything:
Maybe the Bergen County Republicans would be more competitive
if they ran on any conservative principles instead of generic talking points.
