Friends of Licata get an awful lot of paid "mentoring" gigs.

Doing Licata’s dirty work during campaigns really pays off.

Certain teachers get an awful lot of paid "mentoring" gigs while too many teachers are never given one opportunity.

And from the January 27, 2016 BOE meeting minutes(it makes sense that one of the teachers with the least experience at Hilltop was chosen to be mentor):

Letter to the Editor in today's Record: Lodi uses state aid poorly

Link to today’s Record:

The actual letter submitted before being edited:

Lodi will receive $14,508,710 in state aid- the second most in Bergen County (only behind Garfield which is an Abbott district).

Compared to two neighboring towns, Lodi will receive $13,376,577 more than Saddle Brook and $13,336,306 more than Hasbrouck Heights.

Compared to two larger urban districts, Lodi will receive $1,545,036 more than Hackensack and $3,612,373 more than Bergenfield.

With the infusion of all this state aid, the Lodi politicians still manage to give Lodi one of the highest tax rates in Bergen County and a district performing at the bottom.

Why is there no accountability coming from the State after they disperse almost $15 million in State aid to Lodi?

Is the State aware that the Lodi Board of Education is spending $7.5 million on a lavish office building for approximately 24 employees?

Is the State aware that the Lodi Board of Education is full of nepotism and political patronage?

Governor Christie ran as a reformer and turned out to anything but that.  He is part of the status quo, enabling the Lodi politicians to waste millions of State tax dollars.
